house extension in east sussex...
the
house was a converted barn in east sussex with a small annexe containing
a living room with small bedroom above.
the
clients wanted to extend the first floor of the annexe into the loft
space area above the adjoining garage to create room for a bedroom,
study and shower room, making the annexe more self-contained. they had
already applied for planning permission and found a builder but needed
help with the colour schemes and finishes for all four rooms and the
layout, fixtures and fittings for the new shower room.
we
took our inspiration from the existing brick paviours in the living
room, choosing colours that would complement them and show them off
to their best advantage. the colours used throughout the four rooms
were essentially the same to create a sense of continuity and feeling
of space, but different shades and accent colours were used in the four
rooms to give them some individuality.
