renovation project in lincolnshire...the property was the shell of a victorian detached three bedroom house in lincolnshire in which there had been a fire. seen as an investment, it was to be sold on when finished and so the aim was to make it structurally sound and in good decorative order without overspending on design features and materials.
we initially arranged for contractors to come in and remove the timber affected by dry rot in the rear of the house, inject a new damp proof course and install new plumbing and electrics throughout.
we then moved stud walls to create a larger bathroom, replaced all the ceilings, levelled floors, added new coving, replaced the burnt skirting and replastered throughout. a new kitchen and bathroom were fitted, new gas fires connected in both the sitting and dining rooms and all rooms were decorated in a range of neutral colours
finally, new floorings were fitted and the house furnished as a show house ready for sale.
